The Cotswolds boasts a selection of chocolate box villages, history-steeped cities and towns, beautiful Cotswolds stone buildings and rolling green hills as far as the eye can see. Coupled with excellent transport links and a wide variety of classic and contemporary venues, it’s no wonder that it’s fast becoming the UK’s favourite destination to tie the knot. Many of our clients are on the search for unique wedding venues in the Cotswolds, and we’ve been lucky enough to cater weddings with some spectacular backdrops in the area. We’re lucky enough to make our home in the picturesque town of Chipping Norton and we are happy to share our love and knowledge of the area with anyone thinking of getting married in the area.
Do you fancy saying your vows at the only authentically Mughal Palace in northern Europe? Sezincote was the inspiration for the original Brighton Pavillion and holds six weddings a year in their spectacular curved glass Orangery or their smaller ornate dining room, adorned with handpainted vistas of the Indian landscape that inspired its creation. It’s the perfect choice for anyone who is looking for a venue that has a truly unexpected wow factor. The house remains part of a private estate and is surrounded by working agricultural land, making this the perfect East meets West Cotswolds wedding venue.
When looking at Cotswolds wedding venues, barns offer our clients the opportunity to truly make the venue their own. They offer a blank canvas with beautiful landscaping, and The Barn at Upcote is a perfect example. There is actually a complex of four barns, allowing you to create separate areas for different stages of the wedding. You can enjoy drinks in the Sheep Shed, move to the Threshing Barn for a sumptuous meal and then dance the night away in the Grain Store. On a warm summer’s evening, we love seeing guests mill around enjoying the picturesque surroundings.
Oxleaze Barn is one of our favourite Cotswolds wedding venues in Gloucestershire, and it’s hugely popular with couples who want a real taste of the countryside as part of their wedding day. You can enjoy exclusive use of the main barn and gardens on your special day, utilise the services of their experienced onsite venue manager and even request the modelling services of resident Shetland pony Totty for your photographs! And all of this is situated only an hour’s train journey from central London.
Cornwell Manor is a Cotswolds wedding venue with a church, which means that your entire day can take place on the same lavish site. The pretty Norman Church of St Peter’s is less than 200 metres from the Manor and accommodates 80-100 people. You opt to hold your civil ceremony in the more intimate ballroom, or assuming you’ve had a legal ceremony elsewhere, you can enjoy an open-air non-religious blessing anywhere in the gardens. What sets Cornwell Manor apart is the little touches that you won’t find anywhere else… like a candlelit supper beneath the pear trees the night before your nuptuals or a Bloody Mary reception poolside for any sore heads the day after.
