The two Ross’ (Whitmill & Bearman) started Ross & Ross Food in July 2011, bringing together their enthusiasm for fine food and love of the Cotswolds and British Charcuterie.
With experience at Le Petit Blanc, Malmaison, Paxton & Whitfield and The Peach Pub Company to name but a few, the Ross’ shared a passion for great British food and especially charcuterie using traditional artisan methods.
After spending three years producing award-winning Pate and Terrines for everyone from Harrods and Daylesford Organic to little independent delis, they decided in January 2015 to focus on wedding and event catering, and range of Great British foodie gift boxes.
After reaching out to venues locally, the wedding and event catering flourished and the team quickly gained an excellent reputation for catering at various venues and private homes around the Cotswolds countryside. This hard work has been rewarded by the multiple awards which now adorn the shelves of R&R headquarters.
Ross & Ross also focus heavily on keeping catering as green as possible, and are always looking for new ways to improve the way things are done to ensure as little impact on the environment as possible.
In July 2019, Catering & Gifts officially went their separate ways, with Ross Whitmill now in charge of Ross & Ross Events, while Ross Bearman launched Ross & Ross Gifts. Now Ross Whitmill can focus on solely on his lifelong passion.
Late 2019 saw a major change at Ross & Ross HQ, when extensive renovations were carried out to create a beautiful office space and purpose-built tasting room to welcome clients to. The team can often be found around the tasting table, chatting all things weddings with clients, creating bespoke menus to suit our clients requests, holding photoshoots to capture the amazing innovative dishes on our menu, and hosting inspirational meetings about new trends and opportunities.
The pandemic of 2020 hit Ross & Ross hard, with most of their weddings and events being postponed or cancelled. To keep busy, motivated, and support the community during this time, the team branched out into providing various take-away services from three course Friday Night Banquet Boxes which raised over £1,100 for Mary’s Meals, to Sunday Roasts with all the trimmings. We were also lucky enough to organise a couple of small intimate weddings of fifteen, which the team loved doing. The pandemic didn’t stop support for their favourite local football team – Chadlington, of which they have been sponsors for seven years now.
The team have been working hard to keep the company going and prepare for when celebrations are allowed again. They are ready and raring to go as soon as it is safe to do so, and can’t wait to help make every wedding and event extra special!
We are hugely proud to have won some great awards and fabulous accolades – here are some of the trophies adorning our kitchen shelf:-

We source all of our ingredients and products from the excellent local producers that the Cotswold has to offer, meaning that there are very few food miles involved. Some of them are even walking distance!
If you have suggestions for ways we can reduce our carbon footprint, let us know!
Not only do we love fine food and supporting local Cotswold producers, we are also the proud sponsors of the Chadlington Football Team.
