On the 6th May, our Events Team were busy preparing for the first round of Stefan & Lesley’s Birthday Party. The chefs had been busy in the kitchen prepping the food to ensure that everything was quick and efficient on the day of the party.
To kick off the party, Stefan & Lesley requested Canapés be served to their guests, which included Confit Duck & Spring Onion Rolls, Crab Cakes & Pickled Cucumber and Mushroom & Thyme Tarts. All the guests enjoyed the selection of canapés before they would be seated for the Main Course.
When they were ready, the guests took their seats at their tables and the Main Course was served.  The Tapas theme for the Main Course incorporated a number of dishes for guests to choose from. On the top of the menu were the Shots of Gazpacho which were served in shot glasses for each guest. The majority of the dishes were served on a silver platter and boards which was laid across the table for guests to pick from, which included Chicken Liver Pate, Potted Cornish Crab, Ham Hock Terrine & Piccalilli, Squid & Green Chilli Sauce, Peeled King Prawns & Lemon Mayonnaise, and Herb Seared Tuna & Salsa Verde. The English Asparagus & Hollandaise Sauce, Cod Goujons & Tartare Sauce and the Padron Peppers were all served in separately in large serving bowls, alongside Mixed Breads & Pickles. The tapas theme allowed for everyone to socialise and the food was great talking point!
To top off the evening, guests enjoyed our range of desserts; English Strawberries, Whipped Cream & Shortbread, Chocolate Tart with Salted Caramel Peanuts & DIY Eton Mess. Additionally, there was a final course of Cheese & Biscuits to for those who had a more savoury palette.
On Sunday 14th May our Events Team returned for round two of birthday celebrations! Guests arrived at 12.30pm, enjoying drinks & canapes in the sunshine. Jamon Serrano, Potted Shrimps on Toast & Spiced Cheese Straws were thoroughly enjoyed by guests before they moved in for lunch.
A starter of English Asparagus & Hollandaise Sauce was served, before Roast Beef with all the trimmings! Bowls of Crispy Potatoes, Seasonal Greens & Jugs of Gravy were shared around as everyone tucked in. This was then followed by a selection of Desserts; Treacle Tart & Clotted Cream, Peach Melba & Peanut Brittle and everyone’s favourite DIY Eton Mess!
Guests relaxed into the afternoon, finishing their meal with a Cheese Course and Tea & Coffee. Everyone was so delighted with the quality of food, the Chefs were invited to receive a well deserved round of applause!
