Happy New Year! We hope you had an amazing Christmastime and have managed to recover from all the festivities!

Now that we’ve settled back in again, we wanted to give you a little update… We had an extremely busy December here at Ross & Ross.  Between thousands of gift boxes flying off the shelves towards and weekends full of wonderful wintery events, the whole team were working their socks off.

We have catered for some brilliant events recently. Our biggest event was creating canapes for a fundraising drinks reception for Conservative Party members. One of our previous clients, Prime Minister David Cameron, was in attendance, creating a great buzz for everyone.

The Herb Pressed Seared Tuna, Pickled Ginger & Wasabi on Rye Bread and Spiced Aubergine & Feta Poppadoms went down really well, and as always our Scotch Eggs were a huge hit! If you haven’t had a chance to try one you really should; they’re our speciality with runny yolk eggs wrapped in some delicious sausage meat and crisp breadcrumbs.

The main event in December was our big Christmas Pop Up at Oxleaze Barn. The evening was a huge success, and some of our guests were lovely enough to leave some reviews for us which were a pleasure to read. Oxleaze Barn is one of our favourite local venues, and the roaring fire and abundance of twinkling fairy lights created the perfect setting for our festive Pop Up.

With 5 courses to munch on (not including the obligatory mince pies) from scallops to treacle sponge and many delicious treats in between, our guests were treated to some of Ross & Ross’ finest foods. Keep your eyes peeled for the date of our next Pop Up, they’ve been very popular events and tickets sell out fast!

The events team has also been kept busy at corporate Christmas parties, a couple of weddings, and some dinner parties, so December really has been manic! We’ve loved every minute of it though, and we hope that all of you who managed to experience some Ross & Ross food this year loved it as much as we did!
