Natalie and Damian tied the knot in the idyllic surrounds of Cornwell Manor. We were on hand to provide delicious refreshments to complement their beautiful summer wedding.
There’s something inherently wonderful about summer weddings; the longer lighter evenings are the perfect backdrop for celebration and dancing into the night. We love creating personalised summer wedding menus that celebrate the bounty of fresh produce in season and incorporate some of the favourites of the happy couple.
Natalie and Damian chose Cornwell Manor for their wedding in August 2018, a 2,000-acre estate in the Cotswolds located near Chipping Norton on the Oxfordshire-Gloucestershire borders. The manor house is the spectacular centrepiece of the estate, which includes a magnificent walled garden, tennis courts, a sauna and a heated swimming pool. You can get married onsite at the historic church that dates back to Norman times, opt for a civil ceremony in the ornate ballroom or even have a lakeside blessing.
We created a menu bursting with summer flavours for the couple and their guests. We started with a round of unforgettable canapés, including our signature scotch eggs that we receive no end of requests for. Roast chicken is a perennial crowd-pleaser, served alongside delicate sea trout that is at its best during the summer months. There were three options of main course available, followed by a selection of temptingly naughty desserts, including our rich chocolate tart with crunchy salted peanuts. With the celebrations continuing on into the night, we served up hearty roast beef sandwiches to the revellers.
