On Saturday (07th May ’16) we went to a wedding fair event at Cornwell Manor in Cornwell. This was my first event with Ross & Ross Food and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, the grounds were absolutely stunning and the people I met were really lovely people. To top it off the sun was beaming throughout the day, which really was the icing on the cake for this amazing event! I couldn’t believe that Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall had been at Cornwell Manor, the other week, attending their sons wedding. James Jagger and his wife, Anoushka Sharma, definitely picked the perfect venue!
Ross W was in charge of our BBQ outside, which I think made it feel super summery! He was serving yummy BBQ chicken skewers with romesco sauce. Inside Becca, Ross B and I had a stall in which we served; savoury Tuile topped with mouth watering Salmon Tartare on a bed of Rock Salt with Salsa Verde, brain tingling Beef Croquettes with Dijon mustard mayonnaise and a sprig of Watercress, piping hot out the oven Giant Sausage Rolls with English Mustard and vegetarian friendly Falafel with Tihini dip. Our food was all freshly cooked, by Ross W and our talented chefs, from the kitchen downstairs and it smelt and looked beautiful. We know everyone enjoyed the food as the plates didn’t stay full for long! Also, we handed out funky strawberry lemonade tea in tubes, for the guests to enjoy at home. I think they are great little wedding favors, with different flavours on offer they can please everyone, even me and I’m fussy with my hot drinks!
Unfortunately the Cotswold distillery couldn’t make it to the event so we helped them out and served a taster of their scrumptious gin, it was rather popular. Quenching everyone’s thirst with cloudy Cotswold gin and tonic served in a large shot glass with lime, perfect with our BBQ and sunny weather.
Ross & Ross Food are bringing back the dessert trolley! Not only will it look pretty cool at your wedding, fussy eaters will be one less thing for you worry about on your wedding day, they can pick their own dessert from the trolley. You’ll have peace of mind knowing they are full and happy, so you can take to the floor for your first dance!

There were lots of suppliers with fantastic set ups! If you missed the day, here’s a little snip-it of some for you; Multi award winning Sophie, The M’hencha Company, and holder of the Great Taste Award, was handing out tasters of M’hencha Treats, they were rosewater and pistachio flavour and tasted so good! The Bug Bar was really cool, Justin & Shaun sell a range of drinks suited to the customer for weddings, festivals, you name it. They also have a Disco Bug, which I would love to see in action! Flourish & Lace do invites that are all handmade and hand painted by Vicki and even hand written calligraphy can be done for that extra oomph! Roger and Jan’s ice cream is to die for! I love that it’s an ice cream bike, you may notice it as it has appeared on Eastenders. As they were handing out samples of butterscotch and vanilla ice cream, I managed to nab one and it was so tasty!

The Gold Leaf Bakery cakes look fabulous. I could never imagine what I’d want my wedding cake to look like, but after seeing their cakes on show, I want a mixture of all of them! All of the flower suppliers stands caught my eye and made me feel like I was at a wedding right there on that day! The Flower Girls flowers were so cute and had a shabby chic, fairy tale feel to them, which I love. Fiona’s flowers took my breath away! The set up and layout was something special, especially in the garden and sunshine! Flowers & Events flowers had an elegant aura about them and smelt bloomin’ gorgeous! Many more suppliers were at the event such as; Sarie Joynes who sells beautiful bespoke wedding rings. Cotswold Marquees who have Marquees in all sizes for any event. Oasis Events can turn any space into a wonderful scene. Brilliant photographers, hair and make up artists, organic hair salon stylists and even a hot tub were present at this event!
